About Us

One Geography professor and two History graduate students at the University of North Dakota coordinate the Military Geography Project.

Dr. Douglas Munski-Professor of Geography who teaches in areas like historical geography, geographic education, tourism, Canada, and North America.

Stuart Lawrence-Veteran of the United States Army and a Doctoral student in History with a concentration in American history. Focuses on Military History.

Daniel Sauerwein- Doctoral student in History with concentrations in North American and Rural History and minors in Public History and Geography. Focuses on early American history, military history, the Civil War, local history, and the Nonpartisan League (NPL), specifically in North Dakota.
